From watching the videos on these products, I learned how to download apps, how to operate the netbooks, and how to operate and set up the iPad. I also learned that a system must be in place for the students to check out the devices. Maybe, a sign out sheet or designate a number for each student/pair of students to use each time the device is used. Safety and care is important to me. Also, since some of the students will be more experienced than some, they could be "experts" whenever they can help a student with learning and applying the operations. .So, it is exciting but also scary too. I am confident that with practice, these devices will be awesome in the classroom for teaching our kids!

In time you will find a system that will work for you to manage the technology. A sign out sheet works well and do I suggest that you number them somehow. Students also need to be held accountable for the devices and need to learn to treat them with respect.
